BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES August 9, 2011 The regular meeting of the Hammond Landowners Association Board of Directors was held on August 9, 2011 at the Scott residence. A quorum of members was present. Board members present were President Tom Wearing, Vice President Pam Scott, Secretary Pat Emerson, Treasurer Sally McGraw, Members-at-Large Dan Axelrod, Priscila Franco, Doug Lathrop and Erich Ziller. Member-at-Large Bob Keyser was absent. Also present were Larie Wearing, Hammond Fire Company Chief David Jenkins, and Hammond Fire Company Board President Terry McGraw. Vice President Pam Scott called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m. Hammond Fire Company Chief David Jenkins and Hammond Fire Company Board President Terry McGraw gave a report on the proposed merger between the Hammond Fire Department and the County. The Agenda for the meeting was presented and accepted with a motion, which was seconded and approved. The July 12, 2011 Minutes were accepted with a motion, which was seconded and approved. Reports: There were no reports from the President, Vice President or Secretary. The Treasurer presented the financial reports. A motion was made to accept the reports as presented. Correspondence: A Statement of Information filing request was received from the State of California, requesting required information and fees be sent before the 10/31/11 deadline. Tom will take care of the filing of this form on a timely basis. A request was received for access over Dale Creek Road to hold a memorial service in the Dobkins and Durney Lakes area. Because of the large number of landowners, which would have to be notified for trespass permission, and the be starting the CAL-OR tower in two weeks. The tower should be completed in about four to six weeks and then CAL-OR will be ready to solicit customers. Digital Path has upgraded the Herd Peak tower and will be doing more testing and upgrading. Website Forum: Several ideas were discussed regarding the Website Forum including the ability to discuss anything on the forum with certain censors concerning inappropriate language, having a membership only blogging site, and having a sounding board. It was determined further discussion would be needed and ideas should be brought to the next board meeting. Other: The vendors willing to provide Ranch related work listed in the newsletter would be contacted and updated. New Business: Creating Events Committee: Pam Scott will be the Chairperson for this committee. Other: The 320 acres Luginbuhl property southeast of the Ranch is up for sale.
