The motion was seconded and passed with a four to two margin. A roll call vote was requested by Erich. Those in favor were: Pam Scott, Sally McGraw, Pat Emerson, Tom Wearing. Those opposed were Erich Ziller and Dan Axelrod. Motion was made by Sally to pay $60.54 (25% of $242.15) to the Dale Creek Road Users Association. The motion was passed by a three to two vote with one abstaining. Tom reported on new materials that are sprayed on roads for dust repression. If funds become available next year a test section might be done. Erich discussed a need for more 15 MPH signs. This was discussed and Erich will check sources and get back to us. Newsletter: Tom reported Larie is working on getting a newsletter out next week. It was decided an entry needs to be in this newsletter regarding the General Meeting held the first Saturday in November. Website: Sally reported that Round House Media has been taken over by Mount Shasta Marketing and they will be handling our Website. Old Business: Hammond Pond Standpipe Tom reported John Brennan has poured the cement around the standpipe and Tom bought the signs indicating No Parking Fire Lane. Sally made a motion to reimburse John $143.34 and reimburse Tom $25.03 from the standpipe fund for the above. The motion was seconded and approved. Tom also reported Cal-Fire has reworked the ramp to the standpipe at no charge to HLA. A brass connector has been ordered and the expense will be paid directly by HLA. The motion was seconded an HAMMOND LANDOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES July 20, 2010 The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Hammond Landowners Association was held on July 20, 2010 at the McGraw residence. A quorum of members was present. Board members present were: President Erich Ziller, Vice-President Pam Scott, Treasurer Sally McGraw, Secretary Pat Emerson, and Board members, Tom Wearing and Dan Axelrod. The meeting was called to order at 7:11 p.m. by President Erich Ziller. The Agenda for the meeting was adopted with a motion by Tom Wearing. It was seconded and approved. The Minutes of the June 8, 2010 meeting were accepted with a motion by Sally McGraw. It was seconded and approved. Reports: Treasurer Sally McGraw presented the monthly financial statement and the year-to-date statement which were approved as presented. Sally discussed her findings regarding moving monies to a CD. Because of IRS issues Sally did not want to take on the responsibility of changing the way things are at the present time. This was discussed and Erich will do further checking on this situation and possible tax issues if we were to move the monies to a CD. Correspondence: Tom Wearing reported receiving a letter from Wilma Dibelka regarding a community garden on the Ranch. After discussion, Sally made a motion to put off doing anything further until more information or correspondence is obtained. The motion was seconded and approved. Tom will e-mail Wilma and let her know we cannot proceed with this until more information is received. Roads: Sally read a letter from the Dale Creek Road Users Association requesting reimbursement for administrative costs, (stamps, etc.) occurred when noological studies are completed and the work will be put out to bid this fall. Everything is proceeding as planned. Ranch resident operating a business from home This item was discussed and it was decided to wait until we hear from the County before doing anything further. Hammond Ranch Picnic It was reported to be a great success. About sixty-five or so people attended and there was ample amount of food was brought. Larie and Pam will make adjustments to the food HLA provides (Chicken, Hamburger, etc.) $408.17 will be reimbursed to Larie for food expenses she incurred. Potential new Board members Tom provided a list of people which potentially could be approached as Board members. Various Board members will approach these people and report back to the next meeting. Since Sal Cutrona has resigned, his position needs to be filled for the remainder of his term. New Business Revision of By-Laws This item was tabled until the next meeting. Orange Truck This truck, parked on Sugar Pine at Old Stage Road does belong to a Ranch resident. Tom will call the owner and request he move the vehicle. Other Abandoned equipment issue was brought up by Dan. After a discussion as to what could be done, it was decided Dan would talk to Sal again since the equipment was abandoned on his property.
