It was decided to contact the vendors we currently have to see if they are still available. BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES June 14, 2011 The regular meeting of the Hammond Landowners Association Board of Directors was held on June 14, 2011 at the Lathrop residence. A quorum of members was present. Board members present were President Tom Wearing, Vice President Pam Scott, Secretary Pat Emerson, Treasurer Sally McGraw, Members-at-Large Dan Axelrod, Priscila Franco, Bob Keyser, Doug Lathrop and Erich Ziller. Also present were Larie Wearing and Terry Lathrop. President Tom Wearing called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m. The Agenda for the meeting was presented and accepted with a motion, which was seconded and approved. The May 10, 2011 Minutes were accepted with a motion, which was seconded and approved. Reports: The President suggested rotating officers. This would be a once a year rotation and would allow all Board members to experience the duties of each position on the Board. The Board was asked to think about this suggestion. There was no report from the Vice-President. The Secretary suggested it would be very helpful if items, motions, etc. brought to the Board meetings were written out in summary and given to the Secretary to aid in getting information correct in the minutes. The Treasurer presented the financial reports. A motion was made to accept and reports. It was discussed, seconded and approved. Correspondence: The landowner of a property used as a rental has been contacted and they have indicated they will be cleaning up the property. Roads: There were no requests of funds for roadwork reported Discussion was held on information regarding putting a gate across Sugar Pine. This is continuing to be researched and will be brought back to the Board at a later ans to enter the information they will be gathering regarding the electrical mapping of the Ranch. By generating interest regarding electrical issues on the Ranch, Pacific Power will know we are interested in what is happening with electrical power on the Ranch. The Board was asked to watch for information on the Bloom Box, which has been reported upon by the news services. The Bloom Box is a fuel cell source of electricity. Old Business: Hammond Pond Standpipe: This is pending and there was nothing new to report. Fire Safe Council: It was reported the company, A Cut Above, is doing an excellent job doing the clearing. They are currently working on Shepherds Way and beyond. Cal-Fire is still working on the clearing also. Internet Connection: Digital Path is planning to be in this area soon. CAL-OR is an ongoing project on Blue Jay. Annual Picnic: The notices for the HLA Annual Picnic will be going out soon. The music has been arranged and the portable facilities will be delivered the Friday before the Picnic. It was reported the Fire Engine would be on site also. New Business: Website Forum: After realizing more information and discussion would be needed regarding the website forum, it was decided to continue this item to the next Board meeting.
