HAMMOND LANDOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING
July 8, 2008
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Hammond Landowners Association was held on July 8, 2008 at the Wearing residence. A quorum of members was present. Also present was Larie Wearing.
The meeting was called to order at 7:17 p.m. by the Vice President.
The Agenda for the meeting was presented and adopted.
The Minutes of the last meeting were approved.
The following reports were presented:
The Treasurer presented a Financial Statement and reported on the same, which was approved.
The following correspondence was received and discussed: three more duplicate dues payments were received and returned to the senders.
Roads: no requests for funds and nothing further.
Trespass: Tom Wearing reported on recent events involving unauthorized use of a gate lock combination.
Fire Company: The new fire truck will be on display at the up-coming picnic; and fire locks are being distributed and fire signs are in the planning.
Timber Harvests: None reported.
Newsletter: Nothing to report.
Website: The hosting site now requires payment to be made by credit card. The Treasurer will make payments and seek reimbursement. John Brennan has requested that a statement regarding the present red alert fire warning be posted on the web site. It was moved, seconded and approved that a statement be posted.
No further reports were received.
Under Old Business:
a) Possible use of Ranch roads by the owner of a 490-acre parcel was discussed, together with the lack of easement issue. The Treasurer is seeking information regarding the expansion of easements with the staff attorney, which is pending. There is a new ad in the local newspaper for sale of the property.
b) Picnic: finalization of details were discussed.
c) Complaint re violation of Restrictions on Fuller (a.k.a. Meadowlark) Drive: the landowner contacted has responded indicating that it is not his parcel. Discussion was held how to identify the correct owner.
d) The Meadows letter was again discussed. It was then moved, seconded and approved to send the letter as drafted.
e) The unsigned letter to the Board was again discussed. Previously the Board approved printing the unsigned letter verbatim in the next newsletter. On motion for reconsideration it was moved, seconded and approved that an unsigned letter will not be dignified and will not be published.
f) Complaint regarding violations of the Ranch restrictions on Sugar Pine Drive was again discussed as was the proposed letter to the landowner. It was then moved, seconded and approved to send the letter as drafted.
g) Trespass Permission to Report forms: the Treasurer reported that the Sheriff’s Department does keep a file and would like to have copies of all such forms.

Under Announcements:
The next Board Meeting will be on August 19, 2008 at the McGraw residence.
