HAMMOND LANDOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION,
INC.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ MEETING
13 June 2006
The meeting of the Hammond Landowners’ Association,
Inc. Board of Directors, held at the Zalewski home on
Fuller Drive, was called to order at 7:14 pm by Erich
Ziller, President. A quorum of Board members was present.
Janet Zalewski, Treasurer was unable to attend but provided
a printed report. The report was accepted as presented.
A letter from the Hammond Ranch Fire Company had been
received. It stated the willingness of the company to
cooperate in a project to provide uniform residence numbering
for the Ranch and to coordinate in the erection of said
signs. Further action on this project will be postponed
until the Red Zone survey of the Ranch is complete.
Two additional property watch releases have been received
and will be delivered to the south county office of the
Sheriff within the week. A note in the next newsletter
will advise absentee owners to notify neighbors of their
Ranch property that a watch reporting release is on file.
It is hoped this will provide more protection for the
Ranch in general.
Three new requests for road funds were received. After
discussion, it was agreed to issue checks in the following
amounts: $ 1,000.00 to Dale Creek Road, $ 566.67 to Sugar
Pine Road, and $ 376.00 to Ponderosa Drive.
It was reported that it has been agreed by residents
along Sugar Pine Road a locked gate will be erected,
probably between the residences that get their mail on
North Old Stage Road and those whose mail is delivered
to the south Weed exit. Further information will be provided
as received.
There are no timber harvests planned for the Ranch area.
Dana Bainbridge has uploaded a beginning for the Association
website at www.hammondlandowners.org. He asked that Board
members review the site and send comments and suggestions.
There were no other reports.
Under Old Business, Erich Ziller and Tom Wearing reported
on meetings held with Frank DeMarco and Jim Langford
of the County Council’s office and with Kirk Andrus
and Bob Maloney of the office of the District Attorney.
After review and discussion it was suggested that the
office of the Sheriff be approached and asked about the
feasibility of issuing infraction tickets for trespass
rather than citing trespassers for a misdemeanor. This
will be done as soon as possible. It was agreed that
putting a position statement in place at this time could
be premature. The drafting of such a statement will wait
until after the discussion with the Sheriff.
It was noted plans for the annual picnic are progressing.
The notices with reservation forms were sent. The deadline
for receipt of reservations is 1 July. A list of those
making reservations is being compiled. All those available
to help set-up are asked to be at the park about 10 am.
Picnic invitations to public officials and others will
be delivered to the following:
Sheriff Riggins and the Deputies responsible for the
Ranch area
Supervisor Hoy
Alan Stovall and Bernie Paul of CDF
The Weed CDF crew
Hammond Ranch Fire Company
Back copies of the newsletter, along with membership
forms, were delivered to Sal Cutrona. He will order Welcome
Baskets and see to their delivery.
There was no other Old Business.
There was no New Business.
The next Board meeting will be 11 July at the Dibelka
home on High Meadow Road. Sheriff Riggins and/or Sgt.
Hautmann will be asked to attend.
There being no further announcements, the meeting was
adjourned at 7:59 pm.
Respectfully submitted,
Wilma Dibelka, Secretary |
